Mammography & Computer-Aided Detection
To ensure your peace of mind, the Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center has invested in the latest technology in Computer-Aided Detection.
We proudly offer the innovative MammoReader™, a powerful, Intelligent Computer-Aided Detection system that searches for all primary signs of breast cancer.
After your mammogram is performed, the MammoReader™ scans your films digitally. A computer analyzes the images for signs of breast cancer. Areas that the MammoReader™ identifies as suspicious are highlighted for the doctor to review. This technology has been proven to assist in earlier detection of breast cancer, and it's distributed by Instrumentarium Imaging, an innovator in breast diagnostic technology.
"An unblinded retrospective study of 327 cancer cases showed that 23% (95% CI, 18-28%) of women diagnosed with breast cancer, who had prior screening mammograms, could have had their cancers discovered earlier, by an average of 14 months, with use of the MammoReader™."
Call Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center today to set up your mammogram, and ask for a MammoReader™ computer-aided review.
