The Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center's Marvelous Multiples® program is designed to answer your questions and concerns about being pregnant with multiples.

As women are waiting later in life to have children, are relying on fertility medications and procedures such as in vitro fertilization, chances of becoming pregnant with multiples increase by 56 percent.

The Marvelous Multiples® program is presented in detail during a one-day Saturday seminar. The seminar includes lunch with mothers of multiples and a Q & A session with physician specialists.

The program consists of four components designed to give expectant parents information that is essential for supporting a healthy pregnancy and healthy babies. The four components include:

• Introduction to Multiple Pregnancy
• Important Nutrition Facts for Multiple Pregnancy
• Risks and Complications with Multiple Pregnancy
• Question and Answer session with a Board Certified Perinatologist and a Board Certified Neonatologist
• Labor, and Birth: Vaginal Birth and Cesarean Birth
• Recovery and Postpartum
• How to prepare for Life at Home with Multiples
• Lunch with a Mother of Multiples

The Helmerich Women's Center Marvelous Multiples® program can help you prepare for your unique experience, understand the multiple birth process, learn about special nursery needs, explore the practice of co-bedding, and connect with other couples who are expecting multiples.

The program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and meets in conference room #1 of Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center, 1120 South Utica Avenue.
