An important component of rehabilitation, the Easy Street Environment gives patients an edge in their resumption of an independent life. Easy Street allows patients the opportunity to experience real-life settings such as a grocery store, pharmacy, banking counter, automobile, and green house, in a safe learning environment.
An ambulation course with a variety of walking surfaces and other challenges such as curbs, ramps, traffic signals, streets and different types of doors allows patients to practice the skills necessary to re-enter the community with confidence.
Outdoor Therapy Environment
The concept of Easy Street extends outdoors. Patients can enjoy a waterfall, stone pathways, flower beds, putting green and basketball court while enhancing mobility and recreation skills in a lovely setting.
LiteGait® Equipment
The design of this mobile system allows gait training to safely begin much earlier in the recovery process than previously possible by targeting the three areas of ambulation: posture, balance and coordination.
Newton Unloading System
An incomparable piece of equipment, this machine regulates the amount of weight-bearing force that is placed on the patient during an exercise activity.
Driver Performance Assessments
Utilizing a Porto-Clinic Driving Simulator, the therapist is able to measure key components of driving such as reaction speed and glare recovery, to identify specific limitations that could impair driving performance.
VitalStim® Therapy
A patented therapy process and equipment system developed specifically to treat dysphagia using Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation (NMES) therapy and equipment system.
Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s Disease
This well-known, effective treatment improves speech and voice in patients with Parkinson’s Disease and also minimizes the impact of swallowing difficulties.
