Knowledge is one of the most important weapons in the fight against diabetes. Hillcrest’s Center for Diabetes Management is built on this belief.
As one of the oldest and largest diabetes management programs in Tulsa, the Center is dedicated to providing patients with the information and support they need to manage their disease. Recognizing a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for everyone, the Center’s team of highly-trained dieticians, nurses and specialists works with each patient to tailor a program that includes diet, exercise and medication to fit his or her lifestyle. Through group sessions and one-on-one support, patients learn the skills they need to take control of their diabetes and live healthier lives.
Studies show that patients who understand diabetes and follow the treatments prescribed by their physicians live longer and have fewer complications than those who do not received comprehensive diabetes education and self-care training.
There are numerous benefits to our comprehensive education classes.
