Established in 1999, the mission of the Emergency, Clinical and Critical-Care Training Center (ECC) is to provide convenient, cost effective, high quality clinical and critical care education programs. As part of Oklahoma State University Medical Center (OSUMC), the ECC is dedicated to better healthcare for patients.
As an American Heart Association (AHA) training center, the OSUMC ECC Training Center provides quality BLS, ACLS, and PALS programs with the help of 14 other training sites to the Tulsa area, as well as rural Oklahoma. The Oklahoma AHA office recently recognized the ECC Training Center as providing the most AHA training to the greatest number of individuals in the state of Oklahoma.
The OSUMC ECC also works closely with ENA and AWHONN to present CATN-II, TNCC, ENPC, and Fetal Heart Monitoring classes. Other educational programs offered include Basic Dysrhythmia, 12 Lead ECG Recognition, and Hemodynamics for critical care nurses and medical surgical nurses. They also provide programs that have been approved by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses for contact hours.
OSUMC ECC Training Center offers the most current guidelines taught to participants by extremely professional and experienced staff. Classes are presented in a relaxed, student-friendly environment that enables participants to effectively learn and apply the material being presented.
Today, the OSUMC ECC Training Center continues to grow and expand its borders. The OSUMC ECC delivers education throughout communities servicing laypeople as well as healthcare providers.
